At the Black Child and Family Institute (BCFI) we strive to keep the children and families of our community healthy. BCFI has a variety of programs and services designed to meet our children's multiple levels of need. Common areas of need include the need for a stable family unit, physical health, mental and emotional health, a continuing education, and a developed economic environment.
On Nov. 7 the young men and their mentors from the Turning Point put a little elbow grease into the leaves at the Black Child & Family Institute and made the place better than they found it. The clean up was part of a Turning Point community service project. The Turning Point is a Rites of Passage Program that guides and transforms boys into men.
